Removing Financial Barriers

Emerald Eagles GraduatingBeing selected for the Emerald Eagle Scholars program is an honor and privilege. Through institutional, state and federal grants, the university pays the average cost of 15 undergraduate credit hours each fall and spring semester to academically successful and committed students for four years.

Additional funding from college work-study earnings and student loans will help you pay for books, housing and personal expenses.

Emerald Eagle Scholars can enroll at UNT with the confidence that they can afford to attend and that they can graduate in four consecutive years with no or low education debt by simply meeting the program’s academic requirements. These requirements call for Emerald Eagles to maintain a strong GPA over 2.5 and maintain full time student status each fall and spring term.
